Jameson Cold Brew

The Brief

We at 528 Creative worked with Jameson and Carry Out Off Licence for the exclusive launch of Jameson Cold Brew, their new whiskey blend infused with coffee flavours. The aim of the video was to highlight the senses - focusing on the rich, smooth notes of coffee and whiskey combined. This was the first ad of its kind that we created, and we loved the process.

We planned and storyboarded each shot carefully in our studio, ensuring the product looked as premium as the drink itself. To avoid reflections on the sleek black bottle, we blacked out our entire studio, creating a controlled environment that allowed us to craft a clean, high-end look. The final deliverable was a 30-second hero video used in a paid social campaign, supported by a behind-the-scenes reel that showcased how we pulled it off.

FILMING EQUIPMENT

  • Sony FS7 MKII Camera - For cinematic product-focused video capture.
  • Sony A7III Camera - For supporting stills and BTS content.
  • Sony G-Master Lenses (14mm, 24mm, 35mm, 50mm) - Used for tight product close-ups, smooth focus pulls, and wide establishing shots.
  • Aputure LS C120d II with Light Dome & Nanlite Tubes - To achieve moody, cinematic lighting.

PROCESS

  1. Pre-Production & Storyboarding - We worked in our studio to plan every detail of the shoot. This included creating a storyboard that focused on sensory detail: coffee beans falling, liquid pours, and tight product close-ups.
  2. Studio Setup - We blacked out the entire studio to eliminate reflections on the black Jameson Cold Brew bottle, creating the perfect high-contrast look.
  3. Filming - We filmed detailed product shots, slow-motion pours, and textured close-ups of coffee beans and whiskey blending. Every shot was designed to highlight the sensory experience of the drink.
  4. Post-Production - We cut together a sleek 30-second launch ad, adding sound design to heighten the sensory experience. We also created a behind-the-scenes reel to showcase the process.
  5. Delivery - Final content was optimized for a paid social campaign across multiple platforms, ensuring high visual impact and engagement.
