We at 528 Creative collaborated with Lignum Restaurant to produce a cinematic, sensory-driven brand film and photography package for their website and wider marketing. The centrepiece was an experiential hero video for the landing page, where most bookings and traffic come through. The aim was to immerse viewers in the spirit of Lignum without dialogue-showing rather than telling.
Instead of showcasing finished dishes that may change seasonally, we focused on evergreen themes: the natural environment, open-fire cooking, and the dining atmosphere. The video begins with peaceful, cinematic shots of water and forest landscapes with mystical music, moving into intimate details of foraging wild garlic, fields of bluebells, outdoor fire pits, and open-flame cast iron cooking. As the pace builds, we see meat being prepared, fire-driven cooking sequences, and finally the dining room itself-capturing the restaurant’s sensory and elemental identity. Alongside the hero film, we also created a suite of stills for use in print (newspapers, blogs, features), social media, and wider PR.
