The Brief

We at 528 Creative worked with One Life Fitness to capture the design, style, and functionality of their South Terrace and Camden Street locations in Cork. The goal of the project was to create a collection of professional gym interior photography that reflects One Life Fitness’s "affordable luxury" brand while also providing a library of high-quality images for their website, mobile platforms, and marketing campaigns.

The shoot covered headshots for the entire team as well as stylised images of key areas across both locations. At South Terrace, we photographed 10 team members with approachable, professional headshots that incorporated elements of the updated gym interior, including the striking new LED lighting. At Camden, we showcased functional training zones across three floors, capturing the space in a way that highlights its premium design even while renovations were ongoing.

We styled the shoot with moody, high-contrast lighting inspired by Equinox branding, using dynamic angles, purposeful framing, and a mix of candid and posed shots. Shooting at night while the gym was closed meant we had the freedom to organise the gym floors, ensuring every area looked polished and ready to be shown at its best.

PROCESS

1. Pre-production planning – We worked with One Life Fitness to plan the shoot across both South Terrace and Camden locations, prioritising interiors, functional zones, and headshots.
2. Night-time setup – We scheduled the shoot outside opening hours, giving us space to organise the gym floors and capture clean, distraction-free images of the interiors.
3. Interior photography – We shot the updated interiors at both locations, focusing on dressing rooms, studios, weights, and functional training zones, using dynamic angles to highlight design and layout.
4. Headshots – We photographed the full team at South Terrace, using moody lighting and incorporating visible interior elements like LED features for a consistent look and feel.
5. Styling and approach – We combined candid and posed setups to capture the personality of the team while staying consistent with the brand’s "affordable luxury" identity.
6. Post-production – We then edited all images into a cohesive collection, optimised for web and mobile, and consistent with the Equinox-inspired visual style.
